Online vs. onsite worship participation: Given the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, for the safety of all, Session encourages people to attend virtually when possible, and especially if you are at high risk or physically vulnerable. For the foreseeable future, a small worship team (pastor/speaker, liturgist, musician/s, and choir) will be present to lead worship, which will be livestreamed as usual. All who wish to attend onsite will be welcomed, but are expected to be vaccinated, to be effectively masked, and to maintain appropriate distance. We are one in Spirit wherever we may be!

Christmas Eve, December 24 beginning at 4 pm The worship team is inviting all to participate in a special Christmas time church family celebration on Christmas Eve. We will watch It’s A Wonderful Life using our new projector! During the watching there will be a light meal served and so we ask that only those who are vaccinated participate in order to minimize risk issues. If you want you can bring a different chair or cushion to recline on during the performance. After the movie we will be putting out luminaria to light the Christ Child’s path to our ‘home.’ We hope you will come and bring any family and friends you wish to invite. Signing up for the meal was due by last Sunday (the 19th). However, if you find that you can come last minute, please come!
Luminaria to light the Christ Child’s path to our church ‘home’ CPC members will put out bags that have candles set in sand to mark the path to the church. The custom has come about over hundreds of years, probably brought here by Spanish missionaries into Mexico. Historically, luminaria have several purposes – one is to represent Mary and Joseph looking for a place to stay when she delivers her Baby. Early Catholics believed they would guide the Spirit of the Christ child into their homes or lead them to their Midnight mass. Now LaPosada is a 9 day celebration ending on Christmas Eve. The focus is to bring Joy, Peace, and Love into our lives.
