Speaker Forum on Sunday, January 15, after worship
Community Presbyterian Church has donated $40,000 to purchase a used van for the Women’s Shelter and Support Center in Rochester. The donation was part of a bequest to the church from Margaret Nelson, longtime member and supporter of the church. The money will be used to purchase a van to transport the shelter’s clients and to replace another vehicle.
Jeannie Thompson, director of youth programming and community outreach at the women’s shelter, will speak about the Women’s Shelter & Support Center’s goals at the church, 3705 Fairway Place NW in Rochester, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15. The event is open to the public and will follow the worship service.
Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 22, after worship
Sunday, January 22, after worship, will be the Annual Congregational Meeting. Plan to attend as CPC will look back on the past year, recognize leaders that have completed their term, vote for the new class of elders and deacons as well as amend the by-laws (proposed amendments can be found here), and look forward to the year ahead. All members are invited and encouraged to attend.
