Plan to stay for the book discussion on Caste by Isabel Wilkerson after the worship service. “Caste, by American journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson, is a book that exposes the struggles the United States has experienced due to the preservation of the constraints and legacy of slavery that still leaves its mark on our modern society.” All are welcome to join in the discussion!
Gage East will be hosting a “trunk or treat” event from 4:00-5:30 pm (note time change)Tuesday, October 25th. CPC members and friends can volunteer to open car trunks to trick-or-treaters, or participate in some simple kid friendly activities like a ring toss game/other carnival style games, or just dress up and enjoy the company of the residents! Let Mark Neville or Pastor Jan know if you plan to participate!
CPC presents… Pizza and a Movie!
Family movie opportunity Friday, October 28th! Come for free pizza at 6 pm, stay for the family-themed Halloween movie Coco starting at 6:30. Would you cross a bridge that unknowingly leads to the Land of the Dead? Would you immediately go back to the Land of the Living? Would you try and meet your own idol? If all the answers are yes, then you need to see Coco. Coco is a remarkable heartwarming film about family, passion and an exploration of culture. Please share the word and invite your friends. Sign-up (by emailing or calling the church office) is encouraged so that pizza can be ordered in advance.
