Worship this Sunday at 9:30 am!
Please join CPC for worship– onsite or online (using Google Meet, see the links below) this Sunday at 9:30 am. The bulletin can be found by clicking here or by clicking on the picture of the bulletin. We welcome special guest, Mike Resman, this Sunday.
Mike Resman, a member of the Rochester Friends Meeting, will speak as part of worship today. Quakers are primarily but not exclusively Christian, and generally worship together in silence, which has led to a world-changing sense of mission in many of them. Early American Quakers were some of the first to understand, through their connection to the divine in prayer, that enslavement of fellow human beings was an evil that must be eradicated. During Quaker worship over twenty years ago, Mike had an epiphany experience. Those ten minutes transformed him, leading him onto a spiritual path. Now retired from his career as a pediatric Occupational Therapist, he spends his time praying, writing, and serving in various volunteer capacities. The Post-Bulletin has featured him several times for his outstanding work in the community. He has also authored or edited several books on spirituality and prayer, and edits a Quaker journal on the subject.
